Anyone know where the PCV valve is located in our 993's? I can't seem to find it in the manual.
When do folks typically change this part?
Thanks!

Referring to 17-7, there does not
appear to be a PVC per se.
The crankcase breather (10-19) is located on
the top, flywheel side and is connected
by hose to the top of the oil tank.
There is a pipe clamp connection (10-2) in the hose on the passenger side behind the airbox.
There maybe some internals to the breather,
but if there is, it would be really difficult
to get to and there is no mention of
maintenance items within.
The only other maintenance item mentioned
is to check connections, etc. (3-8).

Patrick:
I took the left side of my intake manifold off a couple days ago to replace a faulty cruise control actuator. I couldn’t believe how much oil was in the lower chamber of the intake system. I even called my mechanic to verify the normalcy of this. If you stick your hand in, your fingers come out dripping with oil. My understanding is that this is normal and could possibly contribute to the occasional smoking on engine startup with a cold catalytic converter. I am glad to hear that I am not the only one who has experienced this.
