Question Battery or Starter

I went out to move the car to put away the Christmas ornaments and the car did not start right away.

I got a click, click, click noise several times (from somewhere in the cabin area?). After about the 6th attempt the car turned over as normal. The car did the same thing (click etc.) after I tried to move it back in its regular spot.

I've gone out twice and now it seems to start as usual.

The car has the original battery.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Regards,

Tom

It's got to be the battery. The original ones tend to go bad a little prematurely. Especially if you don't drive your car on a regular basis. Yours is about to go anytime, I suggest you get a battery maintainer soon and use it when the car is not being driven. This ought to keep the next one going for quite a while longer.

Will agree with Viken; if you've got 4 years on it, it's way past it's prime (911 batteries have not lasted much more than 2-3 years in my experience)

Tom,
I agree with Viken and Ray, and would recommend getting a new battery asap. same thing happened to me last week. I almost got stuck at work (late) friday night, but the car turned over. next morning it was dead, but at least I was at home.
