congrats on a beautiful car!

a black 95...must be my car's sister, with basket handle (eventually mine's gotta go). i bought my car in denver CO in the dead of winter and drove her 1300 miles to CA. 8 years into this relationship and she still takes my breath away every time i see her.

Congrats, bringing a car across is usually an adventure.
When I got my Esprit across, I got accused of not declaring everything. ..it had a maintenance manual on board

The season to enjoy is coming, I don't know about the prairies but here in Quebec, we just survived the coldest february in 115 years.

Enjoy!

Congratulations ; there can't be too many of those in Saskatoon.

Any issues at the border? Those guys at Portal can be tough.

...I would drive it home...on the coldest day of the year...
You've had some nasty temperatures in recent weeks. But you could drive from the border to home in one day, so you wouldn't have to start it after it was cold soaked.

Congrats! Is it a C2 or C4? The reason I ask is I can't see the "4" in your avatar pic.

I agree with what you said about the 964 vs 993. The 993 has a quieter interior and a little more comfortable suspension to drive around town. Both fantastic cars.

Its a C2 i haven't had a chance to look under to see any changes to suspension etc. I bought it without a test drive (yikes) but had a fella in IL do a check and test drive for me
Some of the records show cover gaskets replaced, some exhaust work, new brake discs and other small repairs

i had done my homework with the Portal border crossing export and title papers to assure the documents got to the border 72 hours ahead of time
If you don't follow this strict protocol you are in for a disaster at the border (no exemptions here) Abreu and Eclipse auto Transport where outstanding in helping me get the right documents in order
My went smooth

After receiving the car from the transport company at 4:30AM sunday morning at the border (Portal), i drove to Estavan (20 min) spent 4 hours in a hotel, got up started the car in 35 below C ...started like a charm, and just like Christmas morning i flew home

here are a few more pics getting home and getting the daytime running lights working
as you can see its getting a little cramped

best

Congrats from a fellow canuck 993 owner. Love the pic of both the 993 and 964 in the garage. Really shows how much wider even a narrow body 993 is compared to the 964!

Congrats and great story!! Man, I don't envy your situation; it would be such a hard choice between the two cars! Maybe try to keep both?!

Impressive. How long did the car sit at Portal, before you started it?

Gordo (user name 993/907), who drives his car in the Alaska winters, has posted that at -32C, he has to start it every few hours to get through the day.
