Gate opens a 7:30 AM for staging Porsches, although the event officially starts at 9 AM. My fellow R Gruppe members will show up in force...and hopefully some of you Rennlisters too!
I got an email from Patrick saying that though the registered parking has been filled, there's still lots of general parking around.
Hope to see some fellow Rennlisters there.
Also, see other thread I started last week. That seems to had some legs while I've been at sea.
Hey Race911: I didn't see your thread otherwise I wouldn't have started this new one here. I am trying to give the event some publicity since Patrick is a fellow R Gruppe member and it's going to be a great gathering of the faithful! So I posted the notice on most of the individual forums here at Rennlist!
So got to Race911's thread at link below and enjoy there Gonzilla's great photos from last year's first-ever 'Luftgekühlt':

Anyone know the general parking situation? Is it near the registered? I thought I had heard some negative stories about parking or access from last year but maybe that was another event?
Patrick Long, who is a member R Gruppe, sent the following message to us re: Luftgekühlt II this Sunday (March 1st):
"Gents,
As we told everyone, the show will go on regardless of rain fear. The focus may move indoors where we have already set up some very rarely seen cars and a ton of social space. Although the weather man can't make his mind up, I would say 50% chance we will see rain at some point Sunday. If you don't like your car driven in the damp, leave it at home and come join us for a nice, stress-free morning where you need not think about rain anymore. Plenty of general parking if you decide to leave the oldie at home and come in the "work truck." This event is open to the public. Thanks! And remember, this is supposed to be loose and fun.
Patrick"

Great to hear. Off the Love Boat Mexico cruise, drop my wife off later to fly home, and see you guys tomorrow.
So far it's a perfect day at the show. So many rare Porsches. It's like an adult amusement park and it's free. There are at least 15 993's on display. I expect more pictures to come.
