Default Rear Luggage Dump

Somthing I have never seen in real life -- Have you?
I guess it is sort of Unobtanium these days. part number 993 555 123 00 5FV (black), or at least priced to be so.

My dad's 964 cab has one (also known as rear seat delete). No way I'd be able to steal it from him for my 993 though as it is original equipment to his low mile original cab.

I have one in my 96 C2. Great for bags on weekend trips and my dog loves sleeping back there

Always been on my list of mods but given that my 993 is the only car with enough seats for my wife and six year old, I've pushed it on down the road a bit.

I have one from a 964rsa - love it. Much more useful than the back seats ever were.

Recently there were a couple of Rennlisters working on creating a "duplicate" of this and developing the proper templates, drawings etc to share. haven't heard what happened to that project. I think there would be a fair amount of interest across the Rennlist community.

What really fits into the small compartments below?? Useful?

Personally, I like having rear seats. I do have 2 small kids and I'm simply Da Bomb when I take them to school in it.

Would be nice to have some plans with dimensions., even if it was for a simpler one using some commercially available aftermarket doors, such as used on SUV conversions. Could improve the design by having it incorporate a split design for one side only or even using the existing seat back as the top of the enclosure. A one side solution could preserve one seat fo kids and the other side could offer a way to install a sub-woofer. Something not easily done on a 993.

Looks like a home grown solution requiring only a couple latches and a piano hinge to make the doors:

I too have been years [seems like] waiting for plans and/or news - little or nothing so far.
