The discussion as to oil weight and its incremental impact on quieting down lifter cartridge noise reminds me of the endless transmission discussions where the synchros are worn out and a circular debate about the best gear lubricant ensues with passion where any of the proposed lubricants would probably work fine if the synchros were not worn out in the first place.

If it's been sitting, could be hyd lifters have drained and the car needs to be driven?

The hyd lifters drained of oil for not having been driven for a month...
