Help required - suspicious alignment figures
Hi.
This is a copy of a post on the 964 board, but I'm desperate to get as many opinions as possible because if there is a problem with my car I need to get it back to the dealer ASAP.
I have posted the results of my recent wheel alignment elsewhere on the 964 board and I welcome any feedback on the figures that anyone can give me.
However - one thing that was bothering me was that even after alignment, not all of the settings were symmetrical. For example the front caster (after alignment) is 4.19 on the left and 4.50 on the right. My common sense tells me they should be the same ideally.
Anyway - I then noticed that there are several other figures that I was told "are no longer relevant these days" - things like SAI and "Included Angle". Because I'm curious, I looked them up on the internet and found out what they meant. Whilst doinf so I found a comment that "the included angle should be the same on both sides - if not, then something is probably bent". Now my figures at the start of the alignment were as follows:
SAI left: 8.44
SAI right: 17.31
Included Angle left: 8.30
Included Angle right: 17.31
There are no "after" figures, nor any "recommended figures" on the printout. So my question is - can I really ignore these completely, or am I right to feel suspicious that one side has an "included angle" figure which is more than double the figure on the other side???

Greg....your caster figures are probably within the tolences typically being +/- 0 degrees 30 mins for caster. I think the tolences for camber and toe tend to be less than for camber.
I don't know what the other figures you quote relate to and I've not seen them on any of the OPC printouts before, and I've been to three different OPCs to have alignment done.
