Anyone have these fuch wheels? see link below or on page 118 of Dec 2014 edition of Pano. Hope they are not priced like HRE wheels.

They only list 19"+, wouldn't look good on a 993.

The Fiske's Fuchs are much better looking.

They are always called Fuchs, not Fuch. They may not be as much as HRE's, but they are not inexpensive. Can't speak for the Fuchs brand coming over from Europe, but the Fikse repros are damned nice.

Variations on the theme:

Working list of repros.

For 993 WB fitment, I'm personally a fan of the factory Sport Classics from the 997 Sport Classic and Speedster. I've seen them in person, and must say if you have a WB 993 they suit the lines quite well.

And don't forget this Fuchs thread!

But then again, you maybe wouldn't know the amount of development and testing the was done on the Fikse version. The wheels Fuchs is making today are not what they built back in the days they were an OE provider up until the late 80's. Not to say they are not quality, just that things are different and there are other quality wheels out there.

The last time I checked, the Fikse Zuffenhaus Fuchs were "for off-road use only" and were not TUV certified. In contrast, the genuine Fuchs wheels are certified for street use and are TUV approved.

That doesn't mean they weren't tested to such, or wouldn't pass if tested. There were several years of development on these wheels. I think that Fuchs would not have re-released a later generation of their wheels, if Jeff hadn't developed these.

Nobody here has to buy them, but alleging they are inferior for one reason or another, is simply not correct.

I would trust fikse wheels on any car... Including track time. I know that the Singer guys use the Fikse version. A much better repro in my opinion.
