Has anyone used this:

I like the cordless convenience but wonder if its a case of "getting what you paid for" since all the other quality polishers tend to be in the $100-$200 price range.

Personally I wouldn't trust that on my cars paint - but I can recommend the more expensive Porter Cable orbital (just make sure you get the right backing pad). For the extra it is so worth it (IMHO and no affiliation - yada yada)

Don't waste your money if you want it for detailing. There is no power according the copy. The rpm's are way to low to break down any polishes. Additionally there are no pad options.
For $109 you can get the Porter Cable random orbital sander/polisher from Lowes (model 7336 with the #6 counter weight). Then get the various pads (depending on your needs) from on-line stores and a velcro backing plate which will provide you with many options. Much more powerful (adjustable speed settings) yet comepletely safe for you finish.

Yeah, you really aren't getting anything...you get low speed (no good), orbital (bad, unless you are a pro). Go with high speed dual action porter cable like everyone says...you really CAN'T screw up the paint with it, unless of course you are in the running for the Darwin Award...great investment and really brings out the shine.

I have used the Sears model. I use the Porter Cable Random Orbital a LOT. There is no comparison in quality.
The power of the Sears will not get the job done. And it won't last long either.
