Default Finally back at home!

As some of you know, I had an unfortunate incident on track back in July at Mont Tremblant. Some say I ran out of talent, others say physics won this round, whatever your choice of expression, I hit the wall. I was lucky and had no injuries (aside from pride maybe) but the car was not so lucky.

The questions I am sure you are asking.

The frame was out a bit but it did not require any frame parts to be replaced. The shop knows Porsche cars very well and the shop owner is a longtime enthusiast and Instructor with PCA.

My car had 96k on it when this happened.

Yes I took lots of pictures during the repair. I intend to create an album which I will post sometime this winter.

The "while you were there list"
Shaved the headlight washers
Turbo S front spoiler
Turbo S w/LED brake ducts
Clear Corners
Euro front bumper
Euro rear bumper
X-Pel wrap on entire nose, mirrors, rocker panels, halfway up the rear quarter and strips on the rear bumper where road debris hits.
Opti-Coat pro on the entire car.
Repaint the brake calipers

On to the pictures taken today when I received the car back!

I could not find an enclosed trailer to get it home.

The wheels were not done, not sure what I want to do yet. I should have mentioned that. This wheel was the only one showing off the pretty red caliper!

Did you have track insurance or was this all on your dime? Car looks great!

Track insurance. The extras were of course at my cost.

Is it too late to convince you to part it out?

Seriously though it looks great, good on you for bringing it back to life.

They did a great job. Euro bumper/clear corner/scoops really improved front end.

Curious, has the experiance dissuaded you from future track days ?
Or now that you have gotten the initial taste of the wall out of the way...might as well keep having fun, yes ?

Unless I find a way to convince my wife I should now ship it to Bonster s house so I can track it down there this winter, the closest and nearest date for me looks like the first weekend in March at VIR with Chin motorsports

Ship it out to me and you can use it at Laguna Seca. I will make sure she gets exercised while she waits.
