Post Need to raise my suspension height..

The previous owner lowered my 993tt with Eibach springs and stock shocks. It barely clears my current driveway. The driveway at my new house (Beaumont Reserve for Greg and Anir) has a bump up higher then my current one.

I had planned to install the Bilstein HD's, but will I also need or should install new springs, thus should go for PSS-9 to raise the ride height?

Recommendations?

That's one benefit the PSS-9's have over your existing setup -- the flexibility to set the ride height where you need it.

John,

You're car looks perfect as-is... if I were you I'd buy a new house or fix the driveway.

If you check a week-or-so old post from Viken you will see an additional solution to ride height adjustability. Good luck.

I'd keep it too. I'd only change it if the ride was not acceptable for your driving style.

Be sure to get a front protection bar to save the chin on your spoiler!

Felker,
What color is your p-car? Looks great just the way it is...I wouldn't raise it! I have H&R springs and am just as low if not lower and I love the way it looks...Yes I have to be careful over some curb transitions but I take them at an angle.

Flker, I agree, it looks a little too slammed. Robin had a post a few week back with the same set-up (eibach springs and stock shocks) and he upgraded the shocks to HD's and now experience a little higher ride height due the HD addition and it looks great (not too slammed)......do a search and check out his post (better yet check out his site, I'm sure there is a write-up on it by now, if not, Robin, you're sleeping on the job. ).

Question

Can't Felker raise his ride height by adjusting the threaded spring perch on his strut? Or is there not enough travel to make a difference?

From p-car/diy section:

Oh man! I guess I can't slack off any....

Sorry, no write up yet. (But soon!)

Kash is right, the Bilstein HDs will bring the up a little which will eliminate the "slammed" look. And the factory shock adjustment is only for the front and not enough adjustment to make any significant difference.

My 993's ride height was exactly like Falker's ride height prior to the Bilstein HD upgrade, here is how my ride height look with the Bilstein HDs + Eibachs.

I would recommend the PSS9's. They are an excellent blend of street and track. The adjustable setup they provide for stiffness and ride height are excellent.

BTW, My car as about the same as yours as far as height and I simply approach things at angle.

John,
Congrats on the new house. I apoligize for not getting in touch with you last week. It was very busy at work and trying to get the car together for the race this weekend was exhausting. (I will write up a report tommorow)

See if you can fix your driveway or just take it at an angle.
