Originally posted by Sean993 I got the idea when I saw them on this car in autotrader, although my car is white with a blue top, I thought they looked great.
I've seen these wheels on a white 993 coupe with RS splitters and it looked quite nice - at the time I was looking for new shoes for my white/blue Cab (great taste, eh?) but decided I didn't want to spend any more money on this car. As others have pointed out, these wheels are kinda heavy.
Originally posted by DJF1 Yes they looks great BUT they are tooo heavy. Beware,,,,
I like the look of these wheels a lot, better than the 3-piece 3.6 turbo wheels. I backed out after finding out how much they weight. According to Wheel Enhancement, they weight around 30 lbs each and their manufacture said around 26 lbls. WE sell them for around $1700, very competitive price.
Edit: Also, WE said the offsets for these wheels are agressive. If your car is lowered and depend on the spring type, make sure you have enough clearance.
Chris, your car looks lowered have you had any rubbing issues. Mine is lowered 30mm with the M033 suspension. By the way your car looks great, I also think these wheels actually look better than the RS wheels. Here is a pic of my car.
I also like the look of a 3 piece 5 spoke wheel. Check out David in LA's cab with the Gemballa's. They look great as well and are not as heavy as the Speedlines/RH/RS, etc.
Hey Sean yes I ve had a problem with the rubbing issue, with these rims. When i go on a deep BUMP or racing in the canyons, it does rub really bad in the front, and I am going to raise it up a bit more. For some reason with the Gemballa Suspension, I raise the spring collar about 1-3 " and its still the same height when lower the car back down. I still have to cut the fenders to the rear doesnt rub, but other than that, its good to go. Thanks for the kinda comments
Chris, from the looks of those pictures I am guessing your car was lowered more than 1 inch? I hope anyway because I would like to avoid any type of rubbing.
hey Sean, i have about a 1" gap from the Top of the tire to the fender. The Suspension is Stiff, but not STIFF as like..its very bumpy...but, it has a good ride to it. Front and Rear has about a 1" gap, thanks!
