I saw the same on ebay too. Sounds like a profitable little business... Buy at Costco for $654, then sell on ebay for $900... I wonder how many more mods I could get if I did this a few times...

Hey Jeff,

Those Costco Tool Chests don't handle very well at the track, seriously.

I was over at Autometrics today. They prepare and race Porsche's; they are also the guys who made the jackpoints and towhooks. Anyway they have one of those chest and think it's very nice, especially for the money. They take it to any track event they attend. The only negative thing they said about it is it does not corner very well while being towed by a golf cart since it is not as wide as some of the other large rolling tool chests. So you do have to be careful when cornering in and around the pits.

I did go ahead and buy one. I can tell you they are very heavy. The box says the top chest has a net weight of 168lbs. and the bottom's net weight is 260lbs.

I'm going to check it out this weekend. There's a costco that pretty close to my house. I just hope that I can it in my 993.

Just made a trip to Costco, if anybody is interested...

They have the hammerhead for $699 - $50 = $649 (instant rebate until 9/23)

Jeff,

If you need something to haul it in, I have a Durango that generally just takes up space in my driveway..
