Are the Goodyears N rated??

I've always had Eagle F1's on all my previous cars and found them to be awesome. I was abit down when I realised that they weren;t avaible for Porsche fitment after I got my 993...

Anyone tried Toyo Proxes? I don't hear them spoken about around here but I've heard that they're pretty decent. TVR just made them OEM equipment for their new cars. Toyo's first OEM client, I believe, albeit a small one but whose cars are probably driven as hard as ours.

The T1S's are a GREAT tire... I use them for track events sometimes and are especially good in the wet... the RA1s are also a decent tire for track..

Cost-wise, they are a very good "bang for the buck"

i have used 2 sets of toyo RA1's although on my miata. however a friend of mine (very aggreissive tracker) uses RA1's on his 996. i prefer the RA1's over all the tires mentioned above except MPSC's... RA1 lasts long for R compounds. 15,000 total miles including 1500 track miles. however, this was on a light wt miata. will last about 8000 miles with some aggressive tracking based on what my friend told me.

I've used Michelin Pilot Sports, (both F1 style and newer style), SO2s, and currently have on the BFG KDs, (plus Michelin Sport Cups for the track, if I ever have time). BFGs are by far the stickiest street tire, but really are not really suitable for the winter or rainy conditions as they have huge blocks of tread and contain minimal rain grovves. Apparently the D stands for Dry Only. All around, I like the Michelins, but they do not stand up to track conditions for many laps. My 2 cents.

Toyo T1-s's are on my street car. I think the tire is a good all around choice. I have close to 20K miles on them and they still look pretty good. My guess is I will get another 4-5K miles before I have to replace them.

Greg,

How would you rate the T1 for the track? I"m looking into some "street" tires for the track use and I compete in a class that only allows non-R rated compounds (ie treadwear over 100).

I've thought about the Kumhos Ectas MX (sp), but I have heard some pretty good things about Toyos, too. Thanks.

I went with S03s and love them. I have pushed them hard in the Colorado mountains and no slip. I have freaked out way before those tires on my C4S.
