Default HID kit from Tore

Outstanding kit! Couldn't have been easier and the fit was perfect. Should have done it years ago...what a difference. Thanks Tore

Yeah, very nice. Super easy to install too. Much brighter than the stock lights.

How did you guys attach the ballasts? My 95 does not have factory screw holes on the headlight trap doors...
I am contemplating buying his kit to clean up my installation. I have huge ballasts inside my trunk, and they bug me!

Thank you for the trust guys, I highly appreciate this.

Some early 993 models don’t have the studs in the headlight bucket lid. One solution is to buy a new lid with studs. (Porsche part #993.631.911.00) It is also posible to use the alternative mounting method: Turn the T-LIGHT metal bracket upside down, drill two holes in the lid and mount the ballast assembly with two 4mm bolts.
Cheers,
Tore

This (above ) is what I did. Car is ROW '95, one side with studs, one without. Easy. Cheers Tore.

(almost) All turbo S ducts I have seen have side lights with festoon type bulbs. I have LED bulbs that fits these. However, I have not seen any fog light enclosures that fit such ducts.
There's several versions of the Turbo S air intake ducts, and some have fog lights similar to the original H3 fogs. I've tried tons of bulbs, but have not been able to find any good HID or LED solutions for use in the H3 fogs.
Cheers,
Tore

I helped my brother with his install and used velcro tape to attach the ballast inside the light housing on the bottom. It keeps the seal intact.

The kit is only for the low beam. I still need to get/find a halogen high beam build that is similar in color to the low beam.

I just got my Torre kit on Friday. I'm curious as to how many rennlisters actually did the
pre-installation measuring for the lights as he describes in his instructions. Did you just
put the new HID kit it?

As a I am looking at the kit I have to pick either 4300 or 6000 bulb. Could someone explain the difference and the preference that 993 owners get. I already got and installed the led kit and love it. Have had other 993 owners ask and I have referred them to Tore.

Thanks,
Ralph

Here are some pictures of how I mounted the ballast. I used pop rivets.
