Default Will a set of 19in BBS wheels from 997 fit onto a 993 C2S?

Hi Guys,

Just wonder if a set of BBS forge wheels that I have on my 997 C2S fit onto a 993 C2S? This is because I am thinking of changing from one to another, the extra wheels set that I have (BBS), I love them and would like to see if I can keep them.

I have tried asking a few people but no luck with answer so far. Please kindly advise.

Thanks.

You'll need to list sizes including offsets to get an answer.

What you won't love is what 19" wheels do to the car--yes, I had some 997.1 GT3 wheels dropped in my lap, and the results are unimpressive.

Blessing here might be that you're working with a modular wheel, and can pick a more ride compliant tire than the OE Michelins I was using.

Thanks Guys for your info. I will need to find time to check the size and spec for these wheels. Anyway, very much appreciate.

Thx

The quest for larger wheels never ends. Don't go more than 18" on your 993. Let the 991 GT3 guys put the dubs +++ on their cars. Ugh.......

You will hate the driving dynamics of the big wheels....but they sure are pretty.

Good luck

I'll voice a different opinion... I have 19" Ruf wheels and find that they handle great, despite their weight. My tires (255x30x19 and 315x25x19) are approx the same overall height as the stock 18" tires, so there is less sidewall height. This leads to sharper turn in response at the expense of the ride quality.
I think you should use the wheels you like better.

Those two little hamster trainers you've got bolted onto the engine make a massive difference--don't even notice the downside to the same massively heavy 19" Rufs on my 996 Turbo. (But the car does wake up a bit with the 18s."
