Due to some requests from fellow listers here are some pics of the STACK 500 tach on my race car. Its a wonderfull instrument and it provides the following handy things: Laptimes, MPH, Shift Lights, warnings for battery, oil temps, Entry speed, top speed, top RPM, exit speed and you can set three points during a lap where it can give you split timing along with entry or exit speed (depends on what you want).
The install is the handy work of my mechanic as the instrument is 80mm which is smaller than the regular tach. What he did is that he took an older 911 tack, gutted the interior and mounted the STACK in there! It looks and works wonderfull although my personal preference would be for a black face, the dealer was out of the black face so I got it in white. There are two buttons that come with the tach needing install, fortunately Porsche has two holes covered next to the tach so we used them and the appearance it totally stock. Pricey but worthwhile upgrade I think...
