AC compressor wire
I successfully replaced my alternator yesterday. It was my first time working on a P-car. The culprit was a broken alternator shaft. It was literally snapped into two pieces at the alternator's rotor. This was a Bosch rebuilt a few months ago by the PO. So I got everything back running after a 10 miles test drive last night; however, I have a wire hanging from the AC compressor that I totally forgot where it should be connected to. The end has a female spade connector but I have no clue where it should go. Search in the forum returns 20+ pages that I couldn't find a picture of this. Thanks in advance.
This is the wire that controls the compressor clutch. It connects inside the plastic cover on the passenger side of the engine compartment. Remove the plastic cover and you'll see the other end of the wire. It's bright green on my car. You can't miss it.

Rennlist continues to be such an awesome community. I was having AC issues with my 993 and had no luck identifying the problems. I finally gave up few weeks ago. While changing my air filter today, I noticed a loose wire from AC compressor that I must've yanked loose while changing the belts. Thanks to this thread, I was able to quickly find the information needed to reconnect it to the green wire. Now I'm ready for the Sacramento summer!

Been here for 6 years and really enjoy living here. For me, it is better than the bay area or Socal. Your thread on the pss10 is giving me the inspiration to do it myself in the near future. Hope I can call on you if I stumble, with gratuity in your choice of adult beverage
