As FLYT993 said, you've done what a LOT of us dream of. The tall gearing of these cars is my biggest complaint.

Love to go for a ride one day!

Thanks Timothy, I appreciate the support. Luckily my wife is super cool and supportive of my obsession. It has been a fun 3 year journey of saving up and getting the work done.

If you are ever in the area, or I am near you - you should absolutely drive the car. I am in Seattle.

It is just so much better matched to the car with the /21 - rpm drop is reduced significantly. 3rd, 4th and 5th are very closely stacked and perfect for acceleration. A great side effect is 3rd works well around town. 6th gear is really nice at 2300-2400 on the highway at 70ish.

Bottom line - really happy!

995 GT3 6
3.8 95 C4
Sounds great! What are the ratios of the above listed gears?

Glad you like the box! And agreed that it does transform the driving experience. Hope to see you soon - the new roles are keeping me busy and traveling, and not sure when I will be back in Seattle. At a minimum it will be at the 8998FEST!

FIFY. Too funny that I bought the Ruf R Turbo in 2014 for less than what the 3.8/transaxle regear, etc. part of the faux RS conversion cost the guy who paid for it in 2003.

Very cool, the rpm drops look perfect. How about 2nd? Is the 1-2 drop still really long like stock or has the rehear changed that in daily driving? I've never liked the stock 1-2 shift

It is much better - the original euro gear ratio before the Swiss and US emissions/noise laws changed it.

Here are the stock US ratios for reference.

Note that you can look at charts, but it doesn't give you the sense of how much difference it is. In my opinion it transforms the car, especially 3rd, 4th and 5th.
