Best place to buy stock Oil Cooler?
Hi Guys,
I'm looking to aquire two of the stock oil coolers for my little project . I believe the part number is 964.207.220.02.
Anyone know a good place to get good condition used ones or new ones for less than $300?
Thanks a bunch,
Princeton

Princeton, I would strongly encourage You to buy new not used on those. The difference in price is immaterial versus the need to high pressure flush a used one and even then You can be dealing with stuff in the oil and weakened seams from fatigue.

Glen,
I was going to say the same thing. If the previous engine had "blowed up" (as they say in KY) you could have metal parts in the cooler that could get recycled into your engine. Not worth it for a couple hundred bucks.
Also it goes with out saying that if you do have an engine failure of a catastrophic proportion you need to flush the lines and replace or clean the oil coolers.

Ok cool. Thanks for that little tip. I saw the one on ebay recently but it didn't look like it was in great condition.
So anyone know a good place to get new ones? Cheapest I've found is 300.

Princeton,
I had to buy a new oil cooler and ended up paying $287.26. I bought it from a local dealer that provides a PCA discount. So you might want to ask around. But here's a data point.
