I used to work on Randy Johnsons Ruf or Strosek, cant recall; Any way they custom cut the floor pans and lowered them by a couple inches combined with RS shells mounted low.
It was actually pretty hacked up.

Today I tried a 993 with the seat mounted on the rearward set of holes.

Night and day!!

Many thanks for your assistance and suggestions, wish I had known of the alternative mountings before letting a very good example pass me by.

Wait, there are 2 positions for the seat ? Great ! I did not know that. I am 6'5" and can use a bit more space. How do I know the current position of my seat ? Here is a picture.

that’s the front position, if you remove the 4 bolts from the seat you will see 4 square block with two threaded holes.
the bolts are now fastened in the front threaded holes, just pick the back ones.
