Default part info please

Greetings,
Long time member but infrequent poster here. I need assistance locating a part number if it exists. In the midst of a thorough going through of my 96 993 cab I discovered the rubber grommets/bushings holding my sensor cables going to the four wheels have disintegrated. These grommet/bushings have a split hollow center to hold the cables which in turn are held by hard brackets on the body with a u shaped cutout. As good as Porsche is with the parts catalog I cannot locate these. Plan B is to create them out of black rtv, however I would rather have the real deal. If any of you Porsche people know of the number or where they can be sourced I would be eternally grateful.

I've had really good luck finding part numbers by contacting Sunset Porsche. Give them a shout.

Hi Dan,

I need to replace these parts as well. I tried to find them in the Porsche PET catalogue to no avail. Please let me know what you find out from Sunset Porsche.

Dan,

I did some further research and found out that Porsche does not sell the ABS wiring harness cable grommet (rubber) separately. You need to buy the whole wiring harness.
There are aftermarket replacements sold a set (all grommets for all four wiring harness cables).

Nope. The grommets cannot be purchased separately.

I was going to say Chris Radbill at porsche Main Line or Ric at suncoast, but if you post a pic of what you are looking for I am sure I can find something that will work from Grainger (my SO’s father works there) or McMaster Carr.

Default update:

Not throwing in the towel on genuine replacements, however I discovered a product with which I could make some close copies. Versimold rubber. Looks promising but cannot find any vendors as of yet.

UPDATE:

I found a set of aftermarket synthetic rubber grommets for the all four ABS wiring harnesses. It was a bit pricey but given that the part is not available through Porsche and the fact that they are made of higher quality rubber (natural vs. synthetic), I figured it was worth it. See picture below of the set.

@Dan - let me know if you want the vendor info from where I got them.

Hi, I'd be interested too. Can you please advise where you purchased them.

I purchased the same set as above from Randall Kara Techniques (RKT) and they look and work great. However, there's a barrel shaped one on each rear wheel housing that is a different (smaller) diameter than the fronts. While trying to hunt that one down, I ran across a vendor for the double-cone ones in Europe - Kroon Wire Harnesses (https://www.kroonwireharnesses.com/i...product_id=847). I haven't tried them...

The labeling on the eBay kit I received was from Randall Kara Techniques (https://www.facebook.com/randalkaratechniques/). They don't appear to have a storefront, but I noticed they referred people to Zim's Autotechnik (allzim.com) for another item they produce, although I couldn't fit this kit there. You might try contacting either of them directly.
