Guy, yeah, the more I've looked at it, the more I thought it's not a 545. I've actually owned a set of 19" 545s but never had them on my car - they came very damaged from PO as a throw-in, nor would I consider using 19s.

This was 10+ years ago and I've sold them to one of the Pelican site owners but I clearly remember how impressive the wheels looked and felt at that time. Sculpture-like, I would say.

19" on the early cars is pretty darn tough. I've seen some done that look good, but the early cars look best with 18" max IMO.

If any of your are in LA you can stop by our facility. We have a bunch on display. Or we can meet at HRE. I live very close to them and we could set a time.

+1! This is the same problem with the Vintage Series. 18"+ sizes don't suit a lot of the cars that would look great with either these new Classic or the Vintage series.

I know a LOT of M3 guys who would order some of these wheels if they came in 17".

Hello Opo,

That is the early forged model. The last name was the 345. It is definitely an older set. More than likely pre-2000. Especially since there is no engraving. The wheels have definitely changed quite a bit since then. I have to admit though, I love this 5 spoke style. It was one of my favorites.

I think the 305 will do well as a replacement

OPO,

On the last photo about 4 o'clock in the shiny part of the hub. Is there a 4 digit number hand engraved? This was done WAY back in the day.

Perfect set of cars to use to launch this line by the way. I've lusted after or owned all of them at some point in my automotive journey!

These "throwbacks" look nice. I was checking them out at HREs booth last week at the big Euro car gathering at Qualcomm stadium here in San Diego.

I have a w124 Benz cab that is begging for some of these in 18".

For what it's worth I have 18" 545s on my cab. (Pic below)

Years later, that combo still looks great. Congrats, very clean!

We'll look through our archives and see what we can find. For those inquiring about weights, to give you an idea, we weighed our showroom wheels (21x9.5), roughly 28lbs. We're awaiting 18" examples to be cut, to weigh those as well.

+1 on the 300 and I would consider pulling my targa wheels for a set...and I really like my targa wheels!
