Air Conditioning
I just bought my 1997 993 Cab. (49k) I took a trip yesterday(600miles) and noticed that my air conditioner would stop when the car's oil temp got upove a certain level. This may just be a freak occurance and may be totally unrelated? I also noticed that the cooling fan would stop at the same time. This only happened one time and then operated normally.

993 AC is a complicated animal.....lots of 'possibles' here but there is a relationship bet engine(oil) temp and AC.......If oil temperature sensor is sending too high (or bogas reading) to the CCU (climate control head unit) it will shut off power to the compressor......fan should still go.
