I've had the g50/21 with Ruf LSD from Harald in Germany and LWF clutch kit from Gert in my car for 3 months now. The combo improved my lap times by 2 seconds at Mid-Ohio.

I have to echo the sentiments of other converts and say that this mod completely transforms the car.

Highly recommended.

Jeff, I can only pass tt drivers that are HWFM members, very polite and probably on street tires. However, it is a thrill on the rare occasions it happens and only offset by getting passed by Pin or Kim (the other nuts with similar or greater mods).

Tech-Law: Given the cost of this option (re-gear) and the different ways to implement it, it is unlikely there will ever be a group buy. Re-gearing is a great improvement but it's not cheap. The LWF and RS clutch is reasonably priced and would be a normal upgrade when the original clutch needs to be replaced.

I think that whichever TT driver you passed ( not that any decent TT owner would admit to this ) should be provided an honorary HWFM membership for displaying their true turtle sense.

Any of you installed a G50/32?

It's the Supercup/ 993 RS Clubsport gearbox. Has closer ratios than a G50/21, steel syncros on all 6 gears and reinforced shifter internals as well as a different LSD unit.

I have an unused 993RS tranny in a big cardboard box awaiting fitting to my C2 - can`t wait.
AFAIK there were two for sale in UK Porsche Post - I`ve got one so there may still be one left.

No N/A owner should ever name names either because we all know that this only happens as a courtesy from a true gentleman when the tt driver coasts down the straight and the N/A driver has it floored and just barely gets by.

Even more fun than passing a friend in a Porsche is passing a stranger in a Z06 and/or a viper...

Cup Car

I have a regeared box with ROW gears in 3 and 4 with Clubsport gears for 5 and 6. It pulls and pulls and pulls.... The only downside is I'm a bit short in 6th gear. A taller gear for cruising might be a better choice. At 3000 rpm in 6th I'm doing a little over 75 mph.

Cheers,
