LUV your photography & hanging with you;
let me know if that may be possible at Car Week next year
Back to the Beach, where it's not just cars - it's a fine art:
Designed by William J. Muller, he worked together with Archie M. Andrews to produce them 1929-1932 under the name New Era Motors (note below license plate).
I crossed paths with a good friend of the owner multiple times on the display field. He eventually introduced himself & I learned he had driven the car repeatedly. Out of nowhere while we talked, he insisted I sit in it. It wasn't the type of invitation you turn down, & for a car guy it was a once in a life opportunity -- even it hadn't been at Pebble Beach for the famous Concours.
As he told me to stand on the seat, he told me the car's worth ~$20M USD ... which seemed like a set-up for a practical joke. I instantly stopped to repeat: "So, it's worth that much & you want me to stand directly on the seat?"
IIRC, he himself has had a vehicle compete in the PB Concours for the last 20 years.
Yet another example of how amazingly enthusiastic & friendly the competitors with cars at PB were, eager to even let you get your hands (& feet ) all of over these artifacts of automotive achievement & history
Photos of the interior as I climbed back out:
