Hey guys... i'm new here. I've already posted this on the 993turbo board last week, and i've decided to share it with you guys. I bought an original '96 GT2 last year and have been rebuilding it from the ground-up with meticulous detail. The car was an ex-racer originally from Japan (sport chassis #0460011) brought over to race in the U.S. and Canada for Prova Motorsports. It has an interesting race history... I purchased it with intentions to drive it on the streets (and occasional track event) here in Toronto.
The chassis was media-blasted, epoxy-primered and sprayed Arctic Silver (originally white). The motor is sent out to be refreshed with an Andial 3.8L kit, PMS fuel system and twin-spark heads. I Plan on having the car fully complete by month's end. Here are some pics taken last week....

nota... just got lucky. One of those "the right place, at the right time" situations. I have no idea how to get them. We're also a little luckier here in Canada with the more laid-back DOT licensing laws about making cars street legal.

One of the best places to pick up extremely exotic porsches is direct from Japan (assuming your country of origin allows for such imports). They are all left hand drive (even though Japan is a RHD society- something to do with prestige of driving on the wrong side in Japan). There you will find ANYTHING from old 74 RS's in fantastic condition to 993 RSRs, GT2s etc.
