I'm less than 100 miles away from hitting 100K and I'm torn!

Part of me wants to preserve it and not go over 6 digits, but the other half wants to drive it right now and enjoy every minute of it.

Is there some perception that cars over 100K are worth less? Although it doesn't really matter, but just curious.

Are you going to stop driving, period, to preserve it? Just drive and enjoy it.

I rolled past 100K earlier this year. While I do drive the car less than the last three years(got it May 2010), it's flogged reguarly. Did a 200 mile roadtrip with it yesterday, and planning on a 10 hour round trip drive later in July.

For me it was liberation. I started to use the car even more and enjoy it more.

Sorry it dropped value a long time ago. I bought a 1997 S with 86k miles for 29k in 07. One owner car with tons of options. I drove it and enjoyed it and regret selling it. Worst thing I ever did. So don't sell it!!!!!! Biggest mistake in car deals I ever made trust me. I made money on it since I sold it to a guy in France.

I hit 100K recently and nothing changed. You never know when ... you won't be here anymore. Just drive it and enjoy it, of course. Does it drop in value? Doesn't seem like any 993 on the planet dropped in value this year regardless of mileage!

Drove my C4S past 100k on the way home the day I bought it... then put 2000 more on it in the next 36 hours. Very liberating.
