Default Carbon Fiber Console

Can anyone confirm (or deny) for me that options:

XMC - Carbon Center Console (front)
XMD - Carbon Center Console (under handbrake)

make up option group E12 "Carbon Fiber Console" on a 993?

It seems to me it would be really odd to order one without the other. And Ive never seen them listed separately. P-Car.com says the E12 Carbon Fiber Console was $755 in 1997. Do I speaketh the truth or am I all washed up?

Thx.

UD Pride: I have factory - as stated on my window sticker "Shift Lever/Brake Handle - Carbon"
I had 911Pervy send me the VIN info he is able to pull from Porshce and when listing all the build options on my car, such as sport seats, electric slinding roof, etc. it does not mention the brake hanle and shift lever --- but there are some codes listed that may in fact be the codes for those on my print out. I think IX63 and IX64 may be referring to shift lever/brake handle????

Shifter/Brake Handle in Carbon is actually two X codes. X47 for the shifter, and X58 for the handbrake lever. The option code stickers will usually show both and they were most commonly sold as a pair as you correctly pointed out: "Shift Lever/Brake Handle - Carbon". The paired option is option group Y03 which is a code that would never appear on the hood sticker -- only the individual X codes that comprise the option group.

Heres a shot of the interior of a car Im researching. The interior is VR Rubicon Grey Special Leather which almost looks like a purple to me. Im not sure about the deviated seat inlays - if that was no-cost on the VR upgrade or not.

Funny the second link sent by nine9six does in fact say that x63 and x64 are carbon break handle and shift lever. Not sure what the I before the X would mean.

I have stock carbon in my turbo and shift lever and break handle don't look like the one in the pic. The console carbon doesn't seem to have the right weave. Do all the cf weave match? The shift/brake handle are 996 items I think?

All matches. Options sticker supports it as well. Car has the full carbon package which includes the dash, doors, steering wheel, etc.

I think I remember there being a difference between the carbon package as an option and equipment options for carbon, with the latter also having the silver aluminum trimmings/detail.

This doesn't help in regards to the handbrake tray but, my cabrio has CF steering wheel, handbrake, and ****.

The steering wheel option code is not listed separate but as part of group YO3

Option codes

X63 Carbon Fibre shift ****
X64 Carbon Fibre handbrake lever

YO3
