Default OBC repair question (pix)

Hello All, I have been reading up on how to repair the continually glowing OBC light. I am ready to do the repair, but it appears there are a few types of transistor that are available.
Torre's site says use a BS 170 N channel FET.

I find a BS 170 N MOS FET or a BS 170 N FET with enhanced mode.

The cost for these are very inexpensive, but I don't want to hurt the circuit by using the wrong one. If anyone can guide me to which is correct, I would greatly appreciate it.

Pix of my car, just to add interest in the post

Thank you

Rich

Hi Rich, I guess you have done a search on eBay or similar. Both of the types you mention above will work fine.
Cheers, Tore

A cheap easy way to resize pics is to insert them in a powerpoint presentation and save them the picture as a picture.

You can also use Microsoft paint if on Windows or Preview for Mac. The aspect ratios remain locked and scaling is super easy. Especially if you don't use office products.

Thank you all very much. Torre, thank you for clearing up the transistor problem and also for your informative post on your site ( I would never have figured this out myself) and thank you to everyone for the pix compression ideas.

Kind regards

Rich
