Just to clarify, Steve and Rudy are the heroes in my excerpt from the first book. They are not the villains!

I thought his name was mentioned in post 24 until checking the spelling. (Ed beat me to it, lol)

What many seem to forget/not know is that the originator of RL sold the original site to Internet Brands about five years ago. When that happened, there was all kinds of weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth about the demise of RL. Obviously, it didn't happened.

What did happen is that since that time, the users of RL have transformed it from a first-class technical site to a quasi-Facebook "look at me" social site for 993 owners/wannabe owners....If anything kills RL, it will be its own users, not a change in ownership.
I believe the real transformation away from technical discussions are and will be the result of the astounding complexity of the new Porsche models causing owners to move away from servicing their own vehicles. I also believe the knowledge base embedded in Rennlist.com on the older cars is comprehensive and complete. New technical postings at this point for these cars involve questions from new members or the restatement of content posted earlier. Even postings on new products are very limited on the older cars - pre 996, Boxster, Cayman.
Andy :-)

My sister and niece are Wiener's so you get a pass. My sister originally wanted Jordan's middle name to be spelled Erial. In the end she spelled it Ariel. Do the figuring there and you'll get it, I'm sure...
