OG;

Good job, I think you did the right thing by passing on any car that could not be inspected.

I'd concur with the others here, I'd do anything to drive it back home and save $$$. Trips like this always turn out to be lifetime memories that you'll always savor and by the time you get home, you'd know what you wish to modify or not.

For at least the next 3 weeks, you'd be well served to spend lots of energy doting on your wife. Think of something extra nice for her. You just spend a ton of money on a toy, and this is something they don't soon forget. A little extra attention now will help when you're spending all of your time with that new toy.

All the best with your new ride!

Thanks Fred, one thing I am gonna do is private plates,
my wifes name is Merritt, nickname Moosey. So I
was thinking of THXMERT or THXMOOS. I figure
this is ALOT cheaper than a diamond ring, and
its almost as romantic as the time I bought her a
new Callaway driver it for her birthday
( I borrow it on the weekends) I will do the
little things too, like making sure she has
enough beer in the fridge, and trying
to get her to LIKE beer. Those kinds of little
things husbands do solidify thier marriages,
in those timeless things we do. But a very
good point Fred.
Has it been 3 weeks yet!! are we there yet??!!

OG, welcome to the Midnight Blue 993TT club. It's very exclusive. I've never seen another one in Southern California (or anywhere for that matter). Mine is Midnight Blue Metallic, with midnight blue/marble grey interior. Is yours metallic? Link is to photos taken by prior owner (click 993 Twin Turbo link). Car and interior look a little too purple in linked photos. Single photo is one I took recently, and is pretty accurate as to color. Hope we can meet up sometime. Maybe we can do that Marx Brothers mirror routine. Good Luck. -Lee.

Autobahn,

OT I know,

But you mentioned getting drunk!

I will be in Leipzig the weekend of August 23, and I would like to find an Irish Pub in that city which shows Gaelic football, my home county is in the All-Ireland Semi Finals, I would like not to miss the match.

Do you know of any pubs (Irish) in Leipzig that will show this football game?

3 weeks??? I don't have that kind of patience. Picked up my C2s in Miami and drove it back to Austin...1400 miles of pure bliss....and its been enoying local roads (and my garage) for 10 days of those 3 weeks.

Sorry mate,

Irish pubs and gaelic football are a bit too exotic for me.
Good luck.

LeeR, I have that exact same color combo in my '96 C2. Gets compliments from all who see her.

I too used Intercity for my move across the country.
The husband-wife team that made the delivery were absolutely the most professional and careful delivery team I ever encountered. No problems whatsoever. The equipment is also first rate.
Intercity rules!
