Nice article, thanks for sharing! I've had Ruf on the brain alot lately. If Porsche hits a homerun with the 997, it will likely get my attention and money. If the 997 fails to inspire me, then I'm probably going the Ruf route, either modding my current 993 or hunting for a nice CTR2.

Very interesting. But--please tell me--am I the only one that thinks that wing is the ugliest piece of work?

You're not... I admire Ruf's engineering efforts, but the wings and some of the body mods are not to my taste either... That and the plaid seats in the Ruf boxster, Ow.....

How much sense does that wing make
Not even the owner can possibly like the looks of it.

Holy cow! Those back straight speeds and laptimes make my DE at the Glen yesterday look like a evening drive.

I agree, the wing (however functional it may be) on Beddor's car is pretty heinous. It looks like the normal CTR2 wing has an enormous growth on it, no doubt to improve downforce. The intercoolers are relocated to inside the rear fenders.

I prefer the standard Turbo wing with the CTR2's front and rear bumpers.
