So to give some background, the car is very well sorted, new suspension, new brakes, interior, exterior, maintenance items are all in tip top shape. The only potential maintenance item is my clutch/lwf but that is a next year thing.

So I agree on the belts, it is a pain in the a** when the inertia lock doesn't work right. I've only had a couple of times where it's taken forever to free. I've emailed Darin on the lead time for a GR. Needs to be here by Friday before it goes to the mechanic though. I'm also having the stereo rewired and a small in line amp put behind the dash to add just a little kick. I've got a set of the Rod Birch subs in the back that I'm thinking of selling to fund some other goodies but not sure. Does anyone have an idea what those are worth? They have JL 8" subs.

I would check the series resistors...in my case, both the 60k mile service and the PPI missed them. They are not essential but they are needed for low fan operation to keep AC fan and oil cooler fans spinning at low speeds. When they are broken the fans kick in only into high mode when temps go past certain point. Low speed kicks in earlier keeping temps lower.

You can always put in GR yourself if it doesn't come in time...or get to know another 993er who can help you.

I like and understand the red seat belts, but thru Porsche, expect over 1000 usd for the set. There is a solution though, buy seatbelt webbing ( it is 47mm but often called 2 inch) you want 6000 psi tensile strength, and need someone capable of sewing very thick fabric ( like a canvas worker or shoe maker). Then with some down time and say 100 dollars for stitching and fabric, the belts are done. This leaves you with 900 to do some actual performance mods.

If you don't want down time, maybe hunt up a used set that is tattered and redo them in red and swap in one day.

Good Luck

Rich

Another vote for SSK + GD. You might want to change the shift shaft seal while you are at it. The seal is cheap, and it's most likely leaking a little on your car.

Only have front belts as I have a rear seat delete. Front belts run about $400 from sunset FYI.

I am seriously thinking about the GR but not sure about the SSK, shift shaft seal replaced last year.

1. Seat belts
2. HIDs if you don't already have them, enhances night time driving experience.

I bought the NLA factory C2S sills myself, but haven't put them on yet, a cosmetic whim because the car didn't come with them.
Not a fan of carbon fiber, but that's up to you.

I think I've settled on the belts to start. Got HIDs and Hella Micro DEs in the Turbo S Fogs.

Thanks for the suggestions all.

So I went ahead and purchased the seat belts. Going to hold off on the GR for now until I can judge whether I want the SSK as well.

2) Fister golden rod and SSK

Function over fluff every time!

Maybe a set of RS motor mounts or Wevo black motor mounts to further compliment the GR and SSK!

Looking good. Was hoping to drive out to Amherst Saturday to see a car show put on at umass- best 4 1/2 years of my life... Let's meet up soon.

A little bit of both here. Drivers side belt was going bad as inertia lock would jam often.
