South Beach Breakfast Club
Just wanted to remind everyone that the second South Beach Breakfast Club will meet this coming Saturday 2nd August at the Krispy Kreme on US1 between Oakland Pk Blvd and Sunrise @ 6:00 AM. I look forward to seeing new participants along with the usual suspects!

Hi guys, I am still recovering from my fishtail spin w/ Alex. 
Now, that was fun!!
I also do not think I can make it. I have an appt. to test drive an RX-8 that I am considering as my daily driver. The 993 is having some problems, so it might have to be crowned as a garage queen in the future.
I tried to get the Collection to cover the CE (carbon) thing under the emmisions warranty. I got the runaround and monday they informed me that they would not cover the repair. Typical for Porsche!
I wish you guys well, i will be there next time if all goes well. regards and best to all of you .... mnauel

Hey SoFla Rennlisters, anyone know when that indoor Karting place in Ft. Lauderdale (Old Mars Music building off of Powerline Road) is going to open?
It would be a blast to do a Rennlist meet there!

I feel like the dopey kid in school who shows up for Friday nights party Saturday night. 
I got to the Krispy Kreme at 6:05 and got tired of waiting between 6:20/25.
I'm going to guess that the weather down in Miami was worse than FLL, and you guys decided to stay home. Up here there was a little standing water on the roads, but it was basically dry.
...and to think I left a beautiful naked woman behind in my bed for this! I must be outta my freakin' mind!

As much as I wanted to go, 6am is just to early!! My wife & I had a early night out & I still didn't get to bed until 2am. So when the alarm went of at 5am there was just no way Why do we meet so early anyways????

The idea was two-fold:
(1) The traffic's really light at that hour - and fewer cops are out. They've been making Friday night DUI arrests all night long and are ending their workday. I mean if we're not running into cops at the doughnut shop that early in the morning, we're just not gonna see them!
(2) Everyone gets home good and early - I was home by 10:00am last month. ....then you've got the rest of the day do whatever the wife/girlfriend's decided that your going to do. (just try and tell me it's not like that!

Parking is an added bonus! By getting to the News Cafe early we were able to find plenty of beach side parking - a rarity on the strip! An hour later, things were starting to pickup (but it was by no means crowded yet).
I'd vote to keep it at 6:00, but if we do the next one at 7:00 - I'll be there just the same!

Terry already gave reasons why early is good but if that's what it takes (to start at 7 am), I'll come next time, I prefer six though...

Hey!! compromise for 6:30 .. Best of both worlds. Did you guys see the arrests last night due to "hot-rodding" in Miami? over 200 got tagged!!!FHP is on the prowl .
I did it.. Ordered my Titanium RX-8 this morning.. Looks like a sweet daily driver. The 993 will still be around however.
