Default Anyone tried Rennline pedals?

FYI - Did the search but came up nothing from 911s.

Think it's good for weekend warrior track smack? I've been contemplating and now feel like spending some.

Any thoughts? Do you remove the pedals?

Nota,

I have the Rennline brake, clutch and dead pedals. I think they look great next to the Wings throttle pedal. Due to the ridges, my feet have never slipped on the street or during a DE.

Remove the pedals to install? The rubber covers have to be removed and you have to drill the pedals but that's about it. Installation is super easy but requires careful alignment so you don't drill into the solid pedal levers.

Thank you both for your replies. I heard about them several weeks ago and thought about buying a set.

Thanks again.

I have the AJ-Usa pedal set and am very happy with it. I chose it because it replaces the whole throttle pedal including the hinge.

I have the full set of Rennline in my 964 but, for the reason Peter cites would probably go for the AJ-USA set if I were doing it again (also I like the service AJ-USA have always given me - no connection/affiliation just a happy customer).

Ditto & IMO, the AJ pedals are better looking & of higher quality. FWIW, I had a Rennline strut bar which I replaced w/a Brey-Krause for those same reasons.

I DIY'd the AJ's "Race" set over the past winter and have been very pleased with the quality of the pieces and appearance of the set. Highly recommended. Cheers!

Ditto again on the AJ-USA set. Nice quality, easy to install and the hinged throttle assy is very nice. Replaces the OEM throttle completely.

Make sure to re-adjust for WOT after the throttle pedal is installed. It will need adjusting.

Does the AJ-USA set (esp. gas pedal) make the heel toe easier? IT does not seem to have the wodth of the Vosstek, Wings, or Rennline pedal?

Thanks.

It's easy enough to heel/toe using the stock pedals. So I think that the AJUSA pedals would be fine too.

The wider pedals make it more convienent, but you can heel/toe just fine using the stock pedals. Just takes practice.

I've been trying to do double clutch downshifts recently. Pretty rough so far, but it's been fun. I know that it's not really necessary in our modern cars, but I have to do something while I'm stuck in traffic!

Jeff,

It's worth practicing. I did Skip Barber's 3-day racing school a few weeks ago, and double declutching was necessary. I had gotten away from doing it on my 993, so it wasn't second nature for me anymore.

I know it's been debated on this board before, but the Skip instructors were adamant that it is kinder and gentler even to a modern day synchro transmission.
