Anyone going to Festival of Speed this weekend?
I forgot all about it. I put the car on the lift to put my new ARB's on Saturday, but now I'm thinking about an early drive up Sat am. Hang around for a few hours, and head home early afternoon.
Decisions, decisions....

I'm literally next door tonight, on my way home finally tomorrow. Even if I could stash the rig at a certain local RLer's place I'm waaaaay too far behind to take another weekend away after all March seemingly in Phoenix, Chuckwalla, etc.

Still deciding on this. Never been before. What's to see/do there, since I won't be participating in the track events? The web site's rather vague.
If the weather's good, it might be a nice drive anyway.
If I go, of course you guys will recognize my car by the plates.

OK, let me work on this....I'll see if I can get time to do my bars during the evenings.
It's become a better spectator event. More vendors, they typically have a number of cars on display, you can roam the garages and watch the races. They had some parade laps at lunch last year, and a number of us went. I mean, it's no Rennsport Reunion from spectator standpoint, but its a fun drive up and back and worth a few hours.

There's an Autocross setup and I believe you can drive a new Porsche for a lap or two. Sadly I've got a wedding Saturday and not sure if I can make it Sunday either...

For those driving up from San Dog, we could rally in San Juan or Dana Point...or somewhere else for a good breakfast, then blast off from there. Mollie's in San Juan is good, and perhaps RJ's in DP.
I will coordinate with the restaurant if there is more than 5 or 6 guys from down south...

Here's my rub-my wife dutifully reminded me I've been nursing a torn ligament in my right heel for 9 weeks now. It's finally started feeling human again the last few days. Now, she has me worried about regressing.
So, I've got two options: 1. if we do a breakfast in S OC, just do that, and head home after the nice morning drive. 2. Go to FOS and give it a shot-but if I start to feel the pain again in the heel, call it a day and head home whenever.
