without knowing that market, it's hard to say how ridiculously priced that car might be. turbo, hardbacks, 13k miles, etc. and priced in line with (actually below) the 997tt they have also, it's probably priced accordingly. my guess is that bangkok has extremely high taxes on such vehicles and that's contributing to the price. like they say - 'f*cking bangkok!!'

They also have a mint green 1993 C2 for sale. Too bad it is an autotragic. I've been to Bangkok several times, but have never seen an aircooled in the wild. Porsches in general are rare there, or at least they used to be.

Does anyone know what is hanging from the lower dash on this Carrera S?

The price of car + duties is well over 3 times the price of the car in the US so I think the car is priced reasonably.
I have seen only 1 993 in BBK.
The other issue with Thailand there is only 1 or 2 places that can repair the car if you can't.

There is a decent air cooled scene there, recently seen a lot of nice 964s, long hoods RWB etc. Obviously with traffic there, it's not the ideal place to drive one on regular commuting streets.
Let's say if you imported your car there, you'd pay a minimum 300% tax. This isn't uncommon for many Asian countries, so in there eyes the prices we pay here is like stealing the car!

From my brief stay in Bangkok and Thailand, I'd never drive a 993 around the city. Traffic was horrible and there are plenty of mopeds darting between cars and lanes that would make some expensive door dings.
Outside of BKK the infrastructure seemed pretty rough. I'm sure there are some good driving roads somewhere in that country, but I didn't see them and they certainly seem to require a lot of driving over less pleasant roads to get to them.
I commend their passion for Pcars all the same.

There are a lot of very high-end sports cars in Bangkok (Ferrari, Lamborghini , late model Porsche Turbo), even with the 300% import duty.
My brother lives there and tells me that on the weekend there are some hangouts that are wall to wall high-end cars. But it seems like most of the people with the money to buy are buying the latest and greatest.
If you're ever in Bangkok checkout the high-end car dealership near the top-level of one of the main indoor malls (can't remember the name).
