Agreed!

OPO has got it right.

I agree with the others; go graphite.

I'm not a fan of leaving the lip silver ~ it looks way too busy. That type of scheme works best on wheels that have a defined lip in their design; 996TTs don't so it doesn't make sense to me! LOL

Here's my car with the old shoes: Gunmetal (with bronze flakes)

Hi Opo,
What is the dark grey color that the 993 turbo twists and the cup wheels are painted? Is that a porsche color? I like the dark grey color a lot!

Thanks,
Ryan

Porsche Seal Grey with silver lip. Opo's wheels look similar to seal grey. I believe seal grey is basically a metallic version of slate grey. That color looks fantastic.

If that is a Vesuvius car, I would guess the wheels are Stauh Grau.... or Steel Gray

Any color will look good on the twists. I like gunmetal, looks sinister. Have Bomans993 as my wallpaper.

All the pics I look at seem to show seal grey as a lighter grey color, almost silver looking? Slate grey looks like it has a brown tint to it, and meteor grey also looks very silver like??? I have no idea, but I need to call the body shop in the morning to give them a paint code number.........

I do not think arena red and gray, or black, are a good match. To my eye they are not complementary.

I also agree that the 996tt twist wheels do not lend themselves to a two tone or polished rim. They seem to call for one color.

I'd stick with silver.

The 996 wheels were custom painted to match the mirrors , the cup II's are steel grey and the 993 twist are hyper silver

The steel grey cup II's color will look awesome with arena red , if you look at my BBS's centers they are kind of steel grey and look great with arena red IMO
