Please don't. You're car is just too nice as is.

I'm in the do it camp, GT2 is sweet! , but not to this fine specimen. Find a donor car, as I expect that may be the cheapest part of a GT2 slippery slope conversion.

I assume you just mean fenders/skirts/splitter/wing, etc., and wider wheels/tires... cosmetically. Building a GT2 "clone" wouldnt really be worth the time and effort if youre just trying to get the look... but making it look like a GT2 would be a nice project.

An RSR is just an RS Clubsport. He's talking about the GT2 with the big flares and such.

I say DO IT with your car unless you'd rather change the color or do like a full rotisserie build, etc. Then, I'd say sell your clean NB for a premium and start with another car. But, Coupe's are getting more pricey by the minute and you already own one you like and know the history on... so...

I still say DO IT It's only money. It's a car, not a priceless piece of artwork. I wouldn't paint bigger t!ts on the original Mona Lisa but I'd definitely cut up a NB C2 to make it look like a GT2.

But, DO IT RIGHT! Dont hack job it... And post the progress here

Ok, I can weigh in here i think….

But first:

Rich - there are 2 types of bolt on flares and hits.

The RSR is based upon the RS - and ergo a NB.
The GT2 is based upon the Turbo - therefore a WB.

If you are serious about the GT2 look (the flares, bumper and rear wing are the biggest differences…) you can graft on a asset of WB rear quarters and sills - Juha has just done it with is stock (!) C2.

Simon.

Love the GT2 look, but don't start with that one...it's a stone fox!

Whoops - forgot to weigh in.

I did a GT2 clone conversion to a 1 owner stock 993TT.
Why? 'Cause its my car and I personally LOVE the look and over here - there are NONE around. There were only a handfull (7 IIRC) of RHD GT2's built. I wanted one. I couldn't buy one.

These days - with the rise in values (still yet to be fully seen here - but I'm sure it will be) would I do it again to such a nice car? Probably not - but I still love my car for what it is - and do not ever see myself ever selling.

As it has become more of a common (relatively) thing to do - the knowledge has increased around the process especially stateside - and some of the issues I encountered you wouldn't. I had to lean on friends in high places (Porsche Motorsport AG) etc to get, not only info, but bits i needed/wanted.

If I had my time again - I would still do it - but a little differently.

But - sometimes - when i see a stocker - with a nice set of wheels (my fetish) it makes me think I wish I hadn't done it…. Sometimes.

Usually cured by a quick blast… )

Anyway - pics of the before and after below:

I've also been planning on little RSR "excursion" but have not convinced my on it so perhaps you could use those flares instead of me...
I would be interested in your Flares And Stealth, I have the go now

I vote no

your cars kinda rare being slate grey - as far as I know, I mean we don't see many of these on rennlist

if you go rs then I vote maybe yes.

If your car is as nice all around as that photo suggests I would sell it and get a rougher donor car
Far too nice to cut up

But by all means I love the gt2 look

Full Boost - I appreciate your feedback...hopefully we can get more RSR/GT2 conversion members to chime in on their opinion.

As for going full RSR/GT2, I don't think I have that type of wallet so I'd settle for looking the part. If I want power, I've got other toys with ponies underneath

I'll chime in because I'm all too familiar with your car. Bolt on parts are temporary but holes are permanent. Such a beautiful color and clean NB, it would be a shame. Sell it and buy a conversion.
