Default Clear Corner Lens

Just wondering if anyone knows what is involved in removing the little bumpers and small lens and installing the Europe lens. Is this a simple process, i.e. just remove the bumper and existing lens and fasten the new one in it's place?

If your talking about taking out the stock amber turn signals, and putting in the longer euro ones, then you will have holes left in the bumper from where the bumperettes were. You will have to have these areas filled in, and refinished to go this route. You can cut down the euro ones as shown here
and retain the bumperettes.

I have a pair of Euro clear lenses if anyone's interested. They can be trimmed to fit on a car with US bumperettes (the way ALL clear lenses have to be trimmed) or use the way they are if you have a Euro/ROW bumper.

why cut European ones when you can purchase clear lenses that were made to keep the bumperettes in place for US models. Available Ecklers and other aftermarket part suppliers

So when you remove the little bumper and amber lens the new longer Euro one doesn't cover the area? So ILKO how much for the clear Euros?

You should remove just one of those bumperettes and you'll see what we're talking about. The lens dont simply cover the holes left behind.

Problem is, to figure it out I need the Euro lens and then I could see the size of the lens compared to the void left after removal of the bumper and amber lens. I expect the width is the same and that the length of the Euro lens doesn't extend far enough to cover the void.

Does anyone have links to where you can purchase clear corners for the US bumper with bumperettes? (Not Euro clears that have to be cut)

Dude- the void left behind is above of the lens after you slap the long euro ones one. It's a big hole 1" x 2" approx.

GT3 Tek sells the shorter version for US bumpers for $119 ea + shipping. Ordered a set last week. I actually prefer the look of the CC-bump and fog vs CC and fog only.

Thanks P-daddy and Pags993. $119 + shipping is reasonable

That explains it! Although I like the look of the full Euro it looks like a lot of work to fill in the 1" x 2" in the plastic bumper. Would need repaint. Will have to go with the NA ones cut to fit.
