At face value, this is another well-crafted story by a used car dealer, trying to elevate a car's value by ~50%.
Agreed ... this is Dealer BS ... demand to see the entire service history.

This is an exceptionally clean and well-maintained example of the venerable Porsche 993. It was sold new on May 10, 1996 by Brumos Porsche in Jacksonville, Florida to a local resident of Ponte Vedra Beach. That first owner kept the car until 2003 when it was returned to Brumos Porsche showing just over 51,000 miles. The second owner was the service manager of Brumos. During his four-year ownership, the car received a massive amount of work in the Brumos workshop.

The first service during his ownership, which started at 51,551 miles, included replacement of all fluids, V-belt, spark plugs, seals, hood struts, complete brake system flush and replacement of all pads and rotors. New tires were fitted and the car was aligned. At 51,654 miles, the rear shocks were replaced. In September 2003, with 55,758 miles a check engine light was traced back to excessive carbon buildup, a faulty secondary air pump and worn exhaust valve guides. The Porsche factory representative was notified and he authorized a full top end engine rebuild under a factory warranty (one that expired three years earlier).

The master technicians at Brumos (famous for their racing efforts) tore the engine down and rebuilt the top end. They built one fantastic motor. The head was machined, flowed and polished. Every bit of the reassembly included every bit of 993 know-how under the Brumos roof. This is without-a-doubt the fastest naturally aspirated 993 we as a company have ever come in contact with. The engine is magnificent.

For the rest of his ownership which ended in 2007 at just over 81,000 miles, regular services were performed and receipts are on hand. The third owner resides in Newport Beach, CA and had the car expertly maintained by local favorite, Auto Strasse. During his six-year ownership, the car was driven 6,000 miles and was treated to maniacal servicing and sorting to the tune of over $7,000. To say this one needs nothing is an understatement. The mileage is higher than normal for 993s in this price range, however the financial devotion afforded to this car by the last two owners warrants a careful inspection. This one looks and drives new, only faster.
