The HSV's look good.... When I was back home on the Gold Coast in Dec/Jan (hadn't been back for 6 years) I noticed the ute's had gotten mean looking, love it.

Still think the GM product has it over the Falcon...

+1. Never had one but always wanted one, especially a custom ute like the BMW.
Many years ago, a local VW garage made a beautiful orange ute out of a type 3 square back.
I have seen pics online of a couple of 928 utes that were done better than the one here but this will still attract attention.

Steven,

I know and with 340KW (!!!! in a ute?? ) and 550Nm…. (or 456HP and 405ft-lbs…..)

The new VF is better looking but i would rather an SSV , my own wheels and a under bonnet SC… :P

Simon.

Call me crazy, but I think that 928 pickup is awesome... I'd ditch that hood and go back to stock. But that is wackiness in a good way...

I would love to see how well it puts power down, the backend is still pretty light.....

The M5 ute is a power house with it's V10 engine, the only issue that I see is weight imbalance with the ute back you will not be able to keep the rear on the ground, otherwise I love it. I'd like to see an X5 transformed into a ute like the M5.

The 928 just doesn't do it for me, the rear window and bed suck.

Here's what an X5 ute might look like, a bit crude but that was the best I could do with Photoshop.

Here's a lowered X5 ute, the bed looks elongated.
