Default Cross Post- Just listed a set of pristine Recaro A8's-SOLD

I figured my fellow 993 fans would be interested in what I think is the coolest aftermarket seat in a 993... Just listed this in Parts:

I have a pair of Genuine Recaro A8-2nd generation seats. They come complete with rails for a 993 or 964. The are black leather with Charcoal Gray Alacantara centers.

The seats are easily a 9/10. The only wear is some scuffs on the backs of the seats, very minor.

Direct fit in a 993 or 964, not sure about earlier models. Only issue on A8's in these cars is that you can't run the recliner ***** on the inside of the seat but recliner ***** on outside of seats works just fine.

VERY RARE, these were bought back in 2007 as part of a Rennlist group buy. Unobtanium here in the US. About the coolest seat you can install in a 993 or 964. Just going a different direction with my car...

Price is $3500 + shipping

Gonzilla has those seats in his car. I think he has posted pics before.

Very Nice seats.

Good luck with sale, those won't last.

Nice seats!

Bet these are also lighter than the coveted OEM Sport Seats. I wonder by how much.

Anyone know?

If you're looking for period correct aftermarket seats, these are them. More supportive and half the weight of the factory sport seats (I think the a8s are roughly 23 lbs each) made these a no brainer for me. It took about 6 months to find them, but I had to have them after sitting in Pong's car.

I'd say compared to the prices of factory sport seats, these are a steal. Much rarer as well.

Here's a pic of them in Pong's (now Javier's) Ruf.

And here's mine:

These are a steal! If only I had a black interior.

I do have a set in full black leather... Great seats.

I'll be listing mine for sale once the OP has his set sold.

Note - these seats require a set of brackets from Wedge Engineering to mount them (at least mine do).

So the story I thought I had heard that they were an option on the GT2 is not true? I could have sworn I have seen pictures of a set with "Porsche" on the back instead of the "Recaro".

nice seats
GLWTS Nathan

crazy that Recaro did not include cut-out for a sub belt in the seat cushion.
were four points the rage in mid 90's? (serious question)

Never heard or seen that. The caveat is that I'm not the world's biggest gt2 expert.

I'm pretty sure they were one of the options from Ruf though, at least for the one pictured above.
