Fister Stage 1 Opinions

I've searched and found many threads describing stages 2 and 3, but very few on stage 1. I currently have the stock exhaust and CAT on my '95 Cab, and am looking for a bit more exhaust growl on acceleration, but would prefer to keep cruising volumes at near stock levels. I find that at higher RPM's, I hear what sounds like more intake/fan noise than exhaust, and wish for a bit more exhaust growl.
Based on sound clips I've found (I have not heard them in person), Fister Stage 1 seems like a good possibility. Who here has Stage 1, and what do you think about it?
Thanks

Grid: Do it. I strongly recommend Stage 1's for cabs and targas. Stage 2's would be ok, but I prefer the throaty/burbly, yet somewhat understated sound of the 1's. You can always have them changed to 2's if you want.
Professor of what, Nam? Of taking forever to do anything car related? I got my PhD in that, boy-o!

BTW, you may take forever but you "git 'er done", correctly :-)

I love my stage I's. To me the sound is perfect and unmistakably flat 6. I've heard them side by side with Stage II and III and would not trade. As you probably know, Fister still offers this.

My plan is to have my cats cut open and have HJS 100 Cell cats put in. Not too expensive and claimed to give you 8-10 HP and much better sound. After that, I will go to Fister if necessary.
I have heard NEK's Fister 1s and they sound great.

I also have Fister I's on my Targa and like them a lot. I worked with Darin and he thought the I's would be "just right" for my car/wife. Hit the nail on the head. Have gotten lots of positive complements, and they're not too loud at highway speeds.

Thanks all for the feedback! I am wondering if you can hear the difference with Fister 1's INSIDE the car while driving. How is the sound while accelerating with the engine near redline?

Ask, Darin, he'll make a set for you. Love mine! Coupled with a Fabspeed X-pipe the sound is divine. I didn't want the car to sound too loud and the Stage I (also known as LPMM BTW) makes it perfect. Best of all, there is absolutely ZERO drone.
