90% done with this fix - all that's left is to let it set, drill and put the door back together. This is a fairly easy process because the parts fit so nicely. Hardest thing to do is open the can of cement. I couldn't get it open and resorted to using a church key like the olden days of beer cans.

While I'm in there I decided to replace the front speakers - woofers and mids. I'm hoping that improves my sound a bit. This is the mid from the driver's side:
