Default Ignition key light

I need a picture of someone's ignition key light so that I can drill in the proper place. I figure its centered above the key hole but I'm wondering where it is fore and aft on the panel above it. Bonus points if you include a tape measurer. Thanks.

my 96 has the hole already drilled in the lower dash, but not the dash pad.
i can push against the pseudo leather and feel the hole.
Can you do the same?

Don't ask me why P would put a hole in the sheetmetal, but not the pad??????

Option package only in 96????

I did that mod a year or so ago and it is a nice little improvement.

this is quite an important mod, I recall being watched by police in a parkinglot while trying to find the key hole in the dark once. I thought someone should put a light above the ignition so cops don't think were stealing these cars.

Thanks for all the input, guys. I did not have a hole in the sheet metal I needed to drill my own. I started with a regular drill bit and then moved onto a stepless step drill bit from HF to get close to the 15mm required hole diameter. I unsuccessfully tried to splice directly into the wire bundle directly behind the gauges but there wasn't enough room for both hands and to see so I just followed the wires to the plug in the hood and wired it like shown in the DIY. Overall it is a tremendous improvement and with my car having over 140,000 miles and aside from suspension recently this is the first time the car has been modified from how it came new. Well worth it.
