Default Sebring Photos

just received my sebring photos from the oficial photographer - nothing to write home about, but humor me, those are my first 993 track pictures so I had to share.... ;-)

PS: yes that is the towing hook in front - that was the first time I drove the car since I bought it (got it the night before the event) and they had not had time to change the clutch, so I figured I'd be ready to be towed if the clutch went ;-) It did not... But it was a close thing !

Looks good (I like the fact that photographer used little soler shutter speed so that you can actually see the movement) but you need to do something about that school bus suspension...

LOL ! It is school bus-like, isn't it ? Damn, you just ruined those photos for me ;-)

Well, you buying the sparco seats paid partially for my 356's battery box surgery but I cannot afford PSS9 for a long time ! I wouldn't mind a cheaper solution, like lowering springs, but have not figured out yet what's out there and is not a waste of money !

Ideas? School bus... still laughing, you bastard !

PS: doing motor mounts this week end...

Any track photo is a good photo!!! Did you scan them or did he? They look a little over saturated (color that is)!!! I told that guy I wanted some pictures but I never heard from him

Enjoy

My car is US ride height as well. I prefer 'Paris to Dakaar' label myself.

Sounds more racy than school bus, doesn't it?

School bus is the typical name around here for stock US suspension...

Search the archives for suspension ideas, there are ton of them!

I assume Bozo will be there with you for the motor mounts?!

Yes, he is/was a little hard to reach. I had to insist and flood him with emails, but eventually he got back to me, and I got my stuff... I scanned these and compressed them for the web so they're kinda crappy vs. the originals, but even the originals are not fantastic (dark)...

I got better ones from my old car:

I don't mind I wanted some photos of my 993 and got them. Next time I'll bring my photographer ;-) A friend or the wife !

>Search the archives for suspension ideas, there are ton of them!

I thought the search was broken at the moment. Anyhow, this is something I will have to see for myself anyway. PSS9 is too expensive for me, really. Lowering springs and new shocks, maybe... there is still room for improving the driver before I start tweaking the car. (motor mounts are because they might make shifting smoother)

>I assume Bozo will be there with you for the motor mounts?!

he might pay a visit ;-) Depends how $%#$$%$ up the job is. This one actually sounds easy, there might not be too much room for Bozo to intervene (probably just jinxed myself)

Wink

Love your old car. Who ever got it must be having a ball with it.
Do you ever regret selling it? ;-)

Very funny mike ! ;-) What are you doing trolling the 993 boards ?

PS: I do regret selling it to buy the Boxster (waste of $$$), but I am pretty happy with the 993!

I was looking for your next installment of Bozo.

Didn't you have another Bozo saga last week?

I can't pass an opportiunity to post pics from sebring. I love and miss that track.
This pic was taken 4 days after I bought my 993. I wish the tape I used hadn't ruined the pic so bad. enjoy.

I have my suspension set to Rallye..

No seriously, I'm in need of a suspension. But with being a new home owner and going back to school, who can afford it.
