I would expect San Francisco Rennlisters to weigh in on this issue………. they can't all be on the level…….

Park front in half the time, then back in half the time. The tilt evens out. Problem solved.

biggest problem is door swinging open on downhill side. Ouch, makes me cringe thinking about it.

I'd cringe parking in the apt garage.

Thankfully that's not too much of a concern:

I guess it's the access to others, that would bug me, not the cars parking next to you. Used to enclosed garages, is all.

So I found one "bad" effect from parking like this after rain or heavy condensation that we have been having with this 40 degree temp increase.

The water accumulates in the V-groove corner. It flows in the grove down to the passenger side corner due to decline. When I pulled the seal off of the front corner, water literally spilled out of the grove.

I know it's obvious, but I would pull the seal out in the corners after rain/wash and get the "puddle" of water out. Now I see how it can sit there for very long time and find its way to the metal.

WHoever parks between you guys should consider them self lucky. With both you P guys parking so close to the columns, The spot is huge.

I say the only answer is to ask the 991 owner to take your's for a weekly spin when you're not around for a month. Hopefully he'll reciprocate.

One of my worst NYC parking garage stories (other than the one where the lift got stuck and almost couldn't get my car down) is when some pipes needed soldering directly above my previous car (RX-8) and not only didn't they cover my car, but left solder splats all over the rear trunk. I was so incredibly pissed, yet couldn't say a word. The garage owner was a film producer I was trying to work with on a project, and couldn't sacrifice the opportunity for a paint job. Luckily I was able to scrape the solder away with no damage. Now I park my new to me 997.2 Targa there and pray there are no additional leaks (though I somehow think they'd be afraid to not cover this new car if any pipes needed mending.)
