Question Turbo S Ducts w/ Driving Lights

Search function is disabled ...

Can someone direct me to a source for the Turbo S front bumper duct with HID driving (not fog) light already installed?

I know I saw it posted a while back but can't remember the vendor.

AFAIK nobody makes a duct w/either HID lighting or a driving light. You'd have to buy turbo S ducts w/the oem low wattage positioning lights & modify them w/aftermarket driving lights (the subject of several past threads). You could then upgrade the driving lights to HID using an appropriate kit (e.g., Catz).

BW Motorsports (& also sold by MA Shaw) makes a turbo S duct w/functional fog light.

This might help:

However, the bulb is not a HID light, it's a 35w halogen. Are you sure that you want the HID driving lamp? ( ie, extra ballast, etc ) Sometimes people get xenon, hid, super white, etc confused.

Thanks guys... shoulda checked the faq. Sums it up really well. I'm just trying to match the look of the factory litronics and get a decent projection beam for night driving. Seems like the 002 lights are not offered anymore.

If that's what you want, Google "002X XTREME WHITE" and you'll find several sources.

If you get the Turbo S ducts without the hosing to direct the air to the brakes - where does the air flow to?

Does it just go in around the inside of the front bumper (cooling the oil cooler??)

I recently did this install and used LED super white bulbs (from liteswap.com) in the driving light housing. They aren't a perfect match to the HID's but they are pretty close and far cheaper than a true HID set-up. They don't put out much illumination, but I was only trying to match the "look" of the HID's. I also re-wired the duct light to the fog light switch so that they can be controlled independently of the headlights.

If you don't route the ducts to the brakes (I didn't), I am told that it simply provides more air flow to the oil cooler and air conditioner condenser.
